About ACTIN Web Video Production
We’ve been around from the Beginning…
ACTIN's parent company, S Squared, was founded by Steven Spradlin in the mid-1990s as an outgrowth of the international telecommunications service development group MobiLink, later re-branded as Ranger Wireless Solutions. Ranger was responsible for developing new and innovative cloud-based solutions for major technology companies across North America including GTE/Bell Atlantic/NYNEX (now Verizon), SBC/AirTouch/Bell South (now AT&T), and Mobility Canada. Mr. Spradlin toured North America extensively speaking live and producing video segments on the developments of Ranger. During this time, he was responsible for the development of various cloud technology solutions including his invention of a database routing method for wireless calls (US Patent No.5,946,623) currently in use by the majority of wireless carriers across North America.
S Squared eventually sold Ranger Wireless Solutions and its patented technology solutions in 2001. It was at this time that S Squared began developing and focusing on the small-to-mid sized organization. The new company, ACTIN, evolved into a successful utilities consulting business utilizing their cloud technology experience; saving companies thousands of dollars not only in their telecommunications but also energy, natural gas, and internet/data applications.
ACTIN's cloud database expertise, interactive media experience and focus on cost reduction for clients, proved invaluable with the increasing website development needs of ACTIN's internet/data clients. It was then that ACTIN began partnering with the Joomla Content Management System(CMS) to provide clients with a more robust, proven and cost-effective website design database application. Soon after, the emergence of Joomla and Wordpress CMS as the preeminent solution for business website application development occurred. Custom development of interactive digital CMS websites for clients became a hallmark of the ACTIN utilities savings service portfolio.
It was in 2008 when ACTIN relocated to it's current home at 500 North Michigan Avenue to open a state-of-the-art digital LED executive green screen studio that ACTIN Services - Web Video Production Services emerged as a separate entity from ACTIN Telecom and the utilities consulting business. ACTIN Services would now focus solely on the production of digital and interactive media content for clients including website design, mobile web application development and digital video integration. But as always, ACTIN Services maintained its core values of cutting edge technology and state-of-the-art equipment being used with the simplest philosophy being followed - Always provide “High Quality” at the most affordable rates.
